TERALINK Wavelength

TERALINK Wavelength is a dedicated transmission path allocated to the customer within TERALINK’s own optical network. It defines a single point-topoint link between two termination points of the TERALINK network.

TERALINK Wavelength currently provides the following capacities :

  • 1 Gbit/s (Ethernet)
  • 2,5 Gbit/s (STM-16)
  • 10 Gbit/s (Ethernet, STM-64)
  • 40 Gbit/s (STM-256)

TERALINK Wavelength is provided as a backbone product between TERALINK Wavelength locations. Access to TERALINK Wavelength may either be direct, connecting the customer’s equipment housed within the TERALINK data centres and access PoPs via the optical interfaces provided, or via an appropriate access line, subject to feasibility, from a local network operator.

Throughout Europe, TERALINK’s network includes a large number of segments which can be combined to a customerspecific optical wavelength link to fulfil the individual needs of each customer.

TERALINK Virtual Link

The TERALINK Virtual Link provides a transparent data connection between different customer locations. The service is offered as a point-to-point or a network solution. Using TERALINK Virtual Link, data networks from service providers and large corporations can be interconnected rapidly and economically.

Based on TERALINK’s high quality IP/MPLS backbone the TERALINK Virtual Link delivers connections with a capacity ranging from 100 Mbit/s to multiple Gbit/s between numerous cities throughout Europe. It consists of protocol transparent point-to-point and multipoint Ethernet connectivity with dedicated virtual channels for each customer.

TERALINK Virtual Link currently covers the following bandwidths :

  • 100 Mbit/s – 1 Gbit/s (on Gigabit Ethernet interfaces)
  • 1 Gbit/s – 10 Gbit/s (on 10Gigabit Ethernet interfaces)

TERALINK Virtual Link is available in TERALINK data centres and access PoPs and can also be supplied at the customer’s own site via an appropriate access line, subject to feasibility, from a local network operator.

TERALINK Global IP Transit

The TERALINK Global IP Transit enables the customer to transmit to and receive IP packets from the global Internet. It is a broadband, carrier level quality Tier 2 Internet transit service used for peer-to-peer data transmission and access to the Internet.

TERALINK Global IP Transit allows for access bandwidths ranging from 100 Mbit/s to multiple Gbit/s offering customers a flexible, inexpensive and high quality Internet Transit service. The customer can either choose the flat fee billing approach or opt for the usage based billing system where he commits to a minimum bandwidth and pays an additional fee for traffic exceeding this limit.

The global TERALINK network contains all of TERALINK’s national and international PoPs and connections and also covers major Internet Exchange (IX) points in Europe where public peerings are established with the most important carriers, ISPs and xSPs. TERALINK has also established multiple private peerings.

TERALINK Global IP Transit is currently available with the following bandwidths :

  • 100 Mbit/s – 1 Gbit/s (on Gigabit Ethernet interfaces), flat fee or usage based billing (95th percentile)
  • 1 Gbit/s – 10 Gbit/s (on 10Gigabit Ethernet interfaces), flat fee or usage based billing (95th percentile)
